For local businesses

A website for your business —
and the whole deal, in writing.

Flat $1,999 build · Care plans from $49/month · No long-term contract

What you get for $1,999

One price, the same for every business, published here so you can check it against whatever you were told.

Included in every build

What's in it

  • A complete website — typically home, about, services or menu, gallery, and contact
  • Built to work properly on phones, where most people will see it
  • Your own domain name, connected and registered in your name
  • A security certificate so your site loads over HTTPS
  • A contact form that emails enquiries straight to you
  • Click-to-call and click-to-email, so a phone visitor reaches you in one tap
  • Your real hours, address, map, and services
  • Written page content about your business, which you can revise before launch
  • Basic search setup — page titles, descriptions, and a sitemap
  • Two rounds of revisions before it goes live, at no extra charge
Not included

What's not in it

  • An online store or payment processing
  • Appointment or reservation booking (available on the Complete plan)
  • Customer logins or membership areas
  • Integration with software you already run
  • Custom photography or video
  • Logo design or printed materials
  • Paid advertising of any kind
  • More than one language

Some of these we can quote separately. A rep is not allowed to price them on the spot — if you ask, they'll bring you a real number instead of guessing.

How payment works

Half to start, half when your site goes live. Nothing begins until the first payment clears, and you'll always pay Gold Standard Web directly — never a representative. Our reps are forbidden from touching your card details or accepting cash, and cannot sign anything on your behalf.

The monthly care plans

Why there's a monthly cost at all

Hosting, security certificates, backups, monitoring, and updates cost money every single month. There is no version of a website where that stops. Any company that tells you there's no ongoing cost is charging you for it somewhere you can't see.

The fine print, in plain words

Everything else you'd want to know before you decide

QuestionAnswer
Is there a contract or minimum term? No. There is no minimum term on the monthly plan and no long-term contract. This is deliberate and it's central to how we sell.
How do I cancel?Email us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month and we'll confirm in writing within two business days. We will never make you telephone us, and we won't put you through a retention conversation.
Who owns the domain name? You do. If we register it for you, we register it in your name and will hand control to you on request at any time — including after you stop working with us.
Who owns the content? You own the text, photos, and logos you give us, and any customer enquiries the site collects. On request we'll give you a copy.
What happens to the site if I cancel? You keep your domain and your content, and on request we'll provide an exportable copy of your website that you can host elsewhere. We'll tell you the fee for that before you commit to anything.
How long does it take?Usually a few business days from the point we have your information and content. We'll give you an estimate, not a promise — and a rep who names a specific date without checking is breaking our rules.
What if I don't like it?You get two rounds of revisions before launch at no charge. Tell us what's wrong and we'll fix it.
Will I rank number one on Google? We will never promise that, and neither will any rep. Nobody can. What we can tell you truthfully: people searching your name or your category will find a real, working business instead of nothing.
Do you write the content?Yes. We write it from your business details and you revise it during review. You can also send us your own.
Can I use my existing photos?Yes, and we'd prefer it. If you don't have any, we'll use appropriate imagery.
What if my payment fails? We'll contact you. If the plan stays unpaid we may suspend the site, and after thirty days take it offline. We'll tell you before that happens — we don't do it quietly.
Do you sell my information? No. Never have. See our privacy policy.
What we promise

You can hold us to these

  • The price you see here is the price. It's identical for every business.
  • We'll perform our work with reasonable skill and care.
  • We'll use commercially reasonable effort to keep your site online, and restore it promptly if it goes down.
  • Your domain and content are yours, and you can leave with them.
  • You can cancel any time without penalty.
What we refuse to promise

Because nobody can

  • Any position or ranking on Google or any search engine
  • Any specific number of visitors, calls, enquiries, customers, or sales
  • That your site will never have an error or never go down
  • Anything that depends on a third party we don't control
  • Anything at all that isn't written in your agreement

If a representative told you something on this list, that statement was not authorised, it isn't binding on us, and we want to know about it before you sign.
