Trust & safety

Someone says they're with us.
Let's check.

Takes under a minute · Never give anyone anything until you're satisfied

First — the ten-second test

You don't need us to answer most of these. If any single one of the following happened, the person is not following our rules, whether or not they work with us.

Any one of these is a red flag
  • They said or implied they were from Google, Meta, Yelp, or a government office
  • They said your listing or website would be removed, suspended, or penalised if you didn't buy
  • They promised you a position on Google, or a number of calls or customers
  • They said the price expires today, or pressured you to decide on the spot
  • They offered you a special or discounted price
  • They asked for cash, or a cheque payable to them personally
  • They asked to enter, hold, photograph, or write down your card or bank details
  • They offered to sign the agreement for you
  • They wouldn't give you their name, or resisted you checking with us

If you saw any of those: don't pay, don't sign, and tell us below. Our reps know these rules and breaking one removes them from the network.

Ask us directly

Send us their name and we'll confirm

A real person checks these and replies quickly. If it's urgent — someone is standing in your shop right now — email hello@goldstandardweb.com and put URGENT in the subject.

Even a first name or a rough spelling helps.

Have you paid or signed anything yet? *

We'll reply either way. If it turns out the person isn't ours, we'll tell you that plainly.

You can always skip the rep entirely

If you like the website but you're not comfortable with the person who showed it to you — that's completely fine and it happens. Email us and we'll take it from there directly, at exactly the same published price.
